Description
This course curriculum is an introduction to the design, creation, and maintenance of web pages and websites. You will learn how to critically evaluate website quality; learn about web design standards and why they’re important.
You will learn how to build and maintain professional quality visuals and information pages for the Web and then add images, sound, video and a number of design techniques using HTML5 and CSS3. In addition, you will learn to create Web pages using Adobe Dreamweaver. You will also learn some basic use of JavaScript and Jquery.
Prerequisite: Familiar with basic computers, operating system, file management and web browsers . This prerequisite can be waived if you have equivalent experience (see instructor).
Course Goals: By the end of this course, the student should be able to build valid web pages in HTML/XHTML and have a working knowledge of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS3).
